On the Air
Just a quick note. Currently (09:24 a.m. EST)doing one of the regular shifts on early Sunday morning at WVUD. Playlist to be posted later today, here. Heavy on the jazz piano today. Mehldau, Charlap, Tyner, Rebbenack (come on, come on...you know who this is).
Throwing on some selections from Orphan, Tom Waits' latest. Man, he does have me in a non-communicative funk.

Well, dang! I meant to tune in. But I was all caught up downloading my own copy of Orphans...I can see how this would create a funk of sorts. Like Billie Holiday, Waits deserves his own genre. ;-)
And no, I did not know that Dr. John used to be Mac Rebbenack, but I think I still like Prof. Longhair better. Next you're gonna tell me these are one and the same person, aren't you?
