Good House Blogging Seal of Approval

From Searchblog's entry where she posted her results from the referenced humor index test. Here with are my results. This 3 dimensional stuff makes me, I think, seem more complicated than I really am.

Care to let us know where you stand (or sit)? Here's the Three Variable Fun Test. Fast and painless.

As far as my results,

The Wit
(76% dark, 23% spontaneous, 10% vulgar)
your humor style:
CLEAN | COMPLEX | DARK
(Can't explain the math on this. 76% + 23% + 10% = 109% ??? )

You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat.

I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer.

Your sense of humor takes the most thought to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion.

You probably loved "The Office".

PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Jon Stewart - Woody Allen - Ricky Gervais
(Hmmmm, these are all short guys. A message here?)

My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 97% on darkness (DarkoV, none (too many) darker)
You scored higher than 1% on spontaneity (Guess I'm perpetually on Life's script)
You scored higher than 0% on vulgarity (must be that Sister Ignatious Aloysious still shuttling inside my noggin. "Darko, you are bold as brass and twice as brazen!" (But not foulmouthed))

Comments:
Since opposites attract that must make all he bloogers yuo read Idiot Savants ... I'll take it!
BTW - My word verification for this post is "Fqvjqbyk" which I believe is an airstrip in Croatia, is it not?

If opposites do attract, as you insist, then you must be here to see my bad spelling, and Stephenesque, I'm afraid that the misspelling virus seems to have hit you as well. Sorry!

As far as "Fqvjqbyk" being Croatian for airstrip, you are close. Specifically, in Croatian, that is a rock-strewn 30 degree slanted to the right airstrip. Since most of the original airstrips were of this nature, the long meaning grandfathered its way back. A modern paved level east-west directional airstrip is "Fqvjbbbtk fttozzck drridk", usually not used at this time due to its length. You definitely got the gist of the word, though. Congratulations. Have a slivovizu.

B. Mouse,
As you well know, just sitting on one's house stoop for an hour or two will result in your ears being pounded to a vegetable (some say cauliflower, I prefer oyster mushroom) state with the blue language. It's a shame since the shock of a juicy curse word these days is non-existent. Vulgarity is now so much of a commodity.

I congratulate you on your Darkness. Brooding and pessimism, luckily, have not gone out of style.

57% dark, 38% spontaneous, 31% vulgar - huh?! Perhaps when Bleak Mouse finally posts his Ode to Lust, you'll hear me laugh the loudest.

What is with the spelling? I am sure I spult all those words ight when I wrote this pust.
"Raqepx" - Now that MUST be in Bulgaria somewhere (Darkov, you have the best word verifications!)

Stephenesque: Now you're just being silly! You know, of course, that "Raqepx" is mentioned in "Molvania: A Land Untouched by Modern Dentistry" ( available @ http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1843542323/qid=1130246737/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-2184252-8641465?v=glance&s=books ). While not Bulgaria, actually while not even a country, Molvania boasts (unnecessarily, if I may add) of many monuments put up as part of a badly thought out version of the FDR Public Works Projects. "Raqepx", located in the minor foothills surrounding the borough of Mmmetiquex, was constructed using the favored local building material, chicken and duck guano as adhesive with pencil shavings as filler. Ask any Mmmetiquexian where the monument is and they'll gladly point in its general direction. Procuring a guide to take you to the exact location is a different matter as the "fragrant" odors still emanating from the monument are still strong enough to singe one's nasal hairs. Since it's been a while that anyone has actually seen the monument, descriptions of it range from the Picassian to the Fricassian. As soon as one of NASA's spy satellites can be contracted to do a fly-over, Molvania will be able to proudly show off its "Raqepx".

Hope this has helped. The guide book mentioned earlier is worth a read if only to provide the reader with a solid reason as to why their life is not as bad as they had thought it was.

Huh: what's the point filling-out that questionaire when it comes out with almost exactly the same answer?

57 dark, 30 spontaneous, and 31 vulgar.

And where do humorless frumps sit on its scales? I think all of its questions should have had "That's not funny" and "Why's that funny?" choices.

My magic word had nothing to do with Croatia. Everyone knows Qpkoycp is in Mexico.
